Can I take Dexamphetamine to Egypt?
According to Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population / Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), Dexamphetamine may not be permitted in Egypt, even with a prescription. We have not been able to confirm this against a current national source, so do not travel with it until you have checked directly.

The rules for Dexamphetamine (dexamfetamine)
Amphetamine/dextroamphetamine (Adderall's active ingredients) are listed under Egypt's Anti-Narcotic Law No. 182 of 1960 (Schedule 1) and cannot be carried by travelers even with a valid foreign prescription. This rests on Ministry of Health guidance whose government page no longer exists, and the schedules behind it were replaced by ministerial decree in February 2026. Treat it as a ban and confirm with the Egyptian embassy in writing before you travel.
