Albania treats these medications differently. Of the 7 we track, 6 come in on paperwork with a supply cap and 1 has no published rule we could find.
Serious penalties: Albanian Customs publishes a blanket prohibition on the import, export and transit of narcotic and psychotropic substances, and names only a Ministry of Health licence for traders. Albanian law (Law 7975, art 78) lets a travelling patient carry up to 7 days of treatment of a Group II psychotropic medicine, which includes the ADHD stimulants, with copies of the prescriptions. Carrying more than 7 days of a stimulant, or any opioid medicine (art 78 does not cover opioids), risks confiscation without advance confirmation from AKBPM or the Ministry of Health.

Lisdexamfetamine (Vyvanse) is not named in Albania's law (Law 7975 consolidated to Law 17/2026, classification tables, pages 24 to 44), so no rule for it is published. Ask the authority listed here before you travel.

Albanian law lets a person under treatment who is travelling carry Group II psychotropic medicines for personal use, up to 7 days of treatment, with copies of the prescriptions (Law 7975, art 78, page 17). Amphetamine, dexamfetamine and methylphenidate are in Group II. Albanian Customs publishes a blanket prohibition on importing narcotic and psychotropic substances under the same law and does not mention art 78; the law is the higher source.

Atomoxetine, guanfacine and viloxazine are not controlled substances in Albania. Travellers may bring them for personal use: no more than your stay requires and no more than 2 months of treatment, with your doctor's prescription showing the daily dose, and a written personal-use declaration lodged with customs at the point of entry (Council of Ministers Decision 415 of 2015, point 2). We also suggest keeping them in the original packaging.
