Every medication we track can come into Iceland on your prescription, up to 30 days' supply, carried in original packaging.
Serious penalties: A Schengen certificate does not authorize a substance banned under Icelandic law, and postal/parcel import of narcotic and psychotropic medicines is prohibited. Over-quantity or under-documented carry is a customs offence.

Iceland (Schengen) allows ADHD stimulants (psychotropic substances) for personal use up to a 30-day supply (based on the defined daily dose) for non-residents. On arrival, travellers must present to customs a medical certificate or prescription with instructions for use, or an instruction label, providing satisfactory proof the medicine was lawfully obtained and is necessary in the stated quantity.

Narcotic (opioids)
Prescription- Quantity
- 30 days. 30 days' supply on the defined daily dose; Icelandic residents who obtained the medicine abroad are limited to 7 days without a national certificate
- Permit
- Not required. Intra-Schengen travel needs a Schengen certificate; a non-EEA arrival is allowed up to 30 days with the prescription/documents, no separate permit.

- 30 days. 30 days supply (based on defined daily dose; applies to individuals whose registered domicile is not in Iceland)
- Permit
- Not required. No Icelandic authorisation. A valid prescription and the original prescription presented at customs, covering 30 days based on the defined daily dose. No certificate from Icelandic health authorities is asked for.
Not internationally controlled
PrescriptionAtomoxetine, guanfacine ER and viloxazine are not internationally scheduled; bring with prescription in original packaging. No specific Iceland ban found.
