Morocco treats these medications differently. Of the 7 we track, 4 come in on paperwork with a supply cap and 3 need only your prescription.

- Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine)Restrictedmax 30 days' supply
Morocco classifies ADHD stimulants (methylphenidate, lisdexamfetamine) as controlled psychotropic substances. Carry a valid prescription plus a doctor's certificate (translated into French), keep medicines in original labelled packaging, and declare them at customs where you may sign a personal-use 'declaration d'honneur'. Per the INCB submission, medicines not sold in Morocco additionally require a written patient request and an authorization of release for consumption issued by the Moroccan health authorities. Do not post medication to Morocco (customs impounds mailed drugs) and bring a buffer supply as local ADHD stock is unreliable.

Narcotic (opioids)

- No official traveller quantity is published
- Permit
- Not required. Documentation-based entry. A separate release authorization may be required for medicines not marketed in Morocco; confirm in advance.

Psychotropic (ADHD stimulants, benzodiazepines, sleep)
Restricted- Quantity
- 30 days. This is a personal-use quantity for the length of your stay. A 1 to 3 month supply is generally tolerated, but keep controlled stimulants to under about 30 days and declare them at customs.
- Permit
- Required. Morocco asks for a certificate issued by its own health authorities, on top of a doctor's certificate endorsed by your home health authority. It also lists a written request submitted by the patient, an authorisation of release for consumption where the medicine is not sold in Morocco, and a transport certificate where one applies. No form, portal or processing time is published, so write to the Narcotic Drugs Service before you travel.
Not internationally controlled
PrescriptionAtomoxetine (Strattera) is not internationally controlled and may be easier to get, but local supply is not guaranteed. Bring your own with a prescription and a French-translated doctor's letter.
If a country asks for a certificate from your own health authority
Australia does not issue export certificates for personal medication. There is no Australian office that endorses a traveller's certificate the way a Schengen country's health authority endorses an Article 75 certificate. The Office of Drug Control licenses commercial exporters, and the TGA regulates products rather than certifying individual travellers, so neither will stamp your paperwork.
What to do instead: ask your prescriber for a signed letter on practice letterhead giving your name and passport number, each medicine by generic and brand name, strength, daily dose, total quantity and the dates it covers, plus the prescriber's registration number and contact details. Have it dated close to departure, and carry the original dispensing labels.
Then contact the destination's authority in writing before you book, say plainly that Australia does not issue the certificate they ask for, and ask what they will accept in its place. Keep the reply. A written answer from the authority is the strongest document you can carry, and it is the only thing that closes this gap.
