Norway treats these medications differently. Of the 7 we track, 4 come in on paperwork with a supply cap and 3 need only your prescription.
By medication
Brand names first, generic in brackets. Each line resolves the drug class rule below, plus anything Norway records specifically for that medication.
- Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine)Restrictedmax 30 days' supply
Carry a valid prescription or equivalent documentation confirming personal medicinal use. International (non-Norwegian) travellers may bring up to a 30-day supply of controlled medicines. For longer stays, apply in advance to the Norwegian Medical Products Agency for permission to bring more than 30 days' supply (applications must be sent by post due to GDPR); Schengen residents may use a Schengen certificate.

- 30 days. Non-residents up to 30 days; residents limited to 1 week on foreign documentation
- Permit
- Not required up to 30 days' supply. Above that, it is. No permit up to 30 days; above that apply (by post, GDPR) well in advance.

- 30 days. Maximum 30 days supply for non-Norwegian residents (per the prescriber's dosage); more requires prior permission
- Permit
- Not required up to 30 days' supply. Above that, it is. No permit up to 30 days for non-residents. Above that, apply to DMP in advance; no processing time is published.
Not internationally controlled
PrescriptionAtomoxetine, guanfacine ER and viloxazine are not internationally scheduled; a normal prescription suffices.
