OmanTravelling with ADHD medication: rules, permits and documents

Asia

Last checked 20 Jul 2026Medium confidenceHow we rate a record

Every medication we track can come into Oman on your prescription, up to 30 days' supply, carried in original packaging.

Serious penalties: Oman controls codeine, tramadol and similar medicines strictly, and drug offences carry severe penalties; travellers have been detained over controlled medicines. Confirm specific substances with the MOH Drug Control Department, and expect a prior-approval step for controlled medicines.

Oman's published traveller table dates from October 2016, and its Gulf neighbours have tightened these rules recently, so confirm with the Directorate General before you fly.
