Senegal treats these medications differently. Of the 7 we track, 4 have no published rule we could find and 3 need only your prescription.
Serious penalties: Senegalese customs list narcotics among goods prohibited from import, and the drug code carries 10–20 years' hard labour for trafficking. A narcotic medicine carried without solid prescription documentation risks being treated as illicit possession.

The earlier note cited a 7-day Tableau II cap in 'Code des Drogues Article 64'; the only drug law registered, Loi n°2023-06, uses Article 64 to define the Pharmacopoeia and states no traveller cap, so that figure is withdrawn. Personal-use medicines are exempt from the Ministry of Health import visa. Carry the original prescription and a doctor's letter and confirm with the Agence sénégalaise de Réglementation Pharmaceutique (ARP) before travelling.
