The Pharmacy and Drugs Act 2001 (sections 44 to 47) allows import of Class A and B drugs only by pharmacists, licensed bodies corporate and, for narcotics, the Director of Drugs and Medical Supplies; it names no Class D and no personal-use route, and the Pharmacy Board of Sierra Leone publishes nothing for travellers. The earlier note's 'written recommendation from a registered medical practitioner' route appears in no registered source and is withdrawn. Carry a prescription and a doctor's letter and confirm with the Pharmacy Board or a Sierra Leonean embassy before travel.
