The rules for Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine)

Lisdexamfetamine is not named anywhere in Schedule 1 of Tonga's Illicit Drugs Control Act [CAP 10.15], and Tonga does not state whether the section 6 international traveller's exemption reaches it. That exemption, which applies to the stimulants the Act does name, works on its own with no permit: a person undergoing treatment who is entering, leaving or transiting through Tonga may possess quantities lawfully prescribed to them for a period of not more than one month, provided they have written authority from the doctor treating them. The other published track is the 2021 fact sheet from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Revenue & Customs, which tells arriving passengers to declare medicines to a Customs officer, hold a copy of the prescription or a doctor's letter confirming treatment, keep the medicine in its original container, and bring a maximum of three to six months supply depending on the situation and goods. The two documents give different quantities and both are recorded rather than one being chosen; for a substance the Act names, the Act is treated as controlling. Which track applies to lisdexamfetamine is not published, and no Tongan source states whether it is a registered medicine there.
