The rules for Dexamphetamine (dexamfetamine, sold as Dexedrine)

Amphetamine and dexamfetamine are on Hungary's psychotropic list P2. Up to 3 days' supply needs an international certificate from your treating doctor; more than 3 and up to 90 days needs a certificate from the competent authority of the country you depart from, shown at police or customs checks.

Maximum supply: 90 days (Up to 90 days; more than 3 days needs a certificate from the competent authority of the country of departure.)

What to do

  1. valid prescription
  2. up to 3 days' supply: international certificate completed by your treating doctor
  3. more than 3 and up to 90 days' supply: certificate from the competent authority of the country you depart from, shown at police or customs checks
  4. Schengen certificate (documents a/b/c depending on country of departure). This is issued by your own country of residence and only covers travel between Schengen countries, so if you are flying in from Australia you cannot get one and do not need it.
  5. presentation of original prescription at customs
