The rules for Ritalin (methylphenidate)
OGYÉI's 30-day psychotropic-substance rule covers methylphenidate. For a supply of up to 30 days you need only a GP-issued international certificate, and there is no Hungarian permit process for ordinary tourist-length stays. For 30 to 90 days you need an official certificate from the competent authority in your home country.

- certificate issued by health authorities of destination
- Schengen certificate (documents a/b/c depending on country of departure). This is issued by your own country of residence and only covers travel between Schengen countries, so if you are flying in from Australia you cannot get one and do not need it.
