The rules for Dexamphetamine (dexamfetamine)

Nothing Taiwan publishes settles what a traveller carrying dexamfetamine or mixed amphetamine salts may do. What is published is a general rule for controlled medicines: the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) says a traveller must carry the doctor's prescription or medical certificate, may carry no more than the reasonable dosage stated on that document and at most a six-month supply, is limited to two months without a prescription or certificate, and must hand-carry the medicine, since controlled drugs may never be posted or couriered. That rule is written for controlled drugs generally and no TFDA page applies it to ADHD stimulants. Separately, the Ministry of Health and Welfare states that amphetamine-class medicines are prohibited drugs (禁藥) under Article 22(1)(1) of the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act and are not approved for sale in Taiwan, and dexamfetamine and mixed amphetamine salts are not named individually in that announcement. Nothing was found stating whether a foreign prescription makes any difference. The pages checked were the MOHW and TFDA traveller guidance, the TFDA Schedule 1 to 3 patient statement procedure, and the controlled-drug schedule announcements; the official master schedule list PDF would not open.
