The rules for Ritalin (methylphenidate)
Needs an advance permit from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, whatever the quantity. Apply online at least 10 working days before you arrive. A late application is refused, not rushed.
Maximum supply: 90 days (Up to 90 days, and never more than you will use on the trip plus about 5 days' slack.)
What to do
- MFDS 'Narcotics Bring-In Permit' / self-treatment import permit obtained before entry (for methylphenidate and any amphetamine-based drug)
- valid prescription (in English or with translation)
- English doctor's letter with diagnosis, drug generic + brand name, dose, duration
- medication in original packaging
- declare at customs on arrival
