Can I take Vyvanse to Hong Kong SAR?

The rules for Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine)
Verified against the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance (Cap. 134) First Schedule, Part I, read directly on Hong Kong e-Legislation on 2026-08-01. Lisdexamfetamine is not named anywhere in the schedule, and the extension clauses do not reach it: paragraph 2 covers stereoisomers, paragraph 3 covers esters and ethers, and paragraph 4 covers salts, whereas lisdexamfetamine is dexamfetamine joined to L-lysine by an amide bond. The Drug Office's own product database agrees, registering the Vyvanse products (HK-66636, HK-66637, HK-66638) as poisons only with no dangerous-drug marking. So the prior-written-approval regime does not reach Vyvanse. It travels instead under the ordinary personal-baggage exemption: accompanied by you, in a reasonable quantity for your own use, with your prescription. This is the opposite of the usual pattern, where lisdexamfetamine is the harder one, so confirm with pharmgeneral@dh.gov.hk if you want it in writing before you fly.
