Can I take Adderall to Thailand?

Official sources indicate Adderall may not be permitted in Thailand, even with a prescription. Do not travel with it until you have confirmed directly with Thailand's authorities.

A limit of our data: Adderall (mixed amphetamine salts) and Dexamphetamine are different medicines. Adderall is a mix of dextroamphetamine and levoamphetamine; dexamfetamine is dextroamphetamine on its own, and international drug schedules list them as separate substances. We hold one combined amphetamine rule per country, so this page cannot tell you whether Thailand treats them differently. Give the authority the exact product and generic name on your prescription when you check. The answer here is the same as for Dexamphetamine in Thailand.

The rules for Adderall (mixed amphetamine salts)

Category 1 narcotic with no accepted medical use in Thailand; not permitted for travellers under any circumstances, even with a valid foreign prescription.

What to do

  1. valid prescription
  2. doctor's certificate
  3. presentation of original prescription at customs

Thailand has 1 further requirement that Adderall travellers do not need. See the full Thailand rules if you also carry other medication.

Travelling to more than one country?

Check your whole itinerary at once: every stop, every layover, and what to do by when. We'll carry Adderall and Thailand over, so you only add the rest.

The check is free. The trip pack that turns it into paperwork is A$19, once. It does not renew.
