The rules for Dexamphetamine (dexamfetamine, sold as Dexedrine)

Entering Italy with amphetamine or dexamfetamine requires a certification or medical prescription prepared by the competent health authority of your own country, giving your particulars, the medicine's trade name, the name and total quantity of the active ingredient and the number of dosage units (Decree of the Ministry of Health of 16 November 2007, art 3(1)). Italy has no form for arrivals: its Annex 1 certificate is for people leaving Italy and is completed by an Italian NHS doctor. If you carry only one package of the medicine, a plain prescription suffices.

Maximum supply: 30 days (30-day cap for narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances; a certification or prescription from your own country's health authority is required (a plain prescription suffices if only one package is carried).)

What to do

  1. certification or medical prescription prepared by the competent health authority of your own country, giving your particulars, the medicine's trade name, the name and total quantity of the active ingredient and the number of dosage units (not needed beyond a plain prescription if you carry a single package of each medicine)
