Can I take Vyvanse to Sweden?

Official guidance indicates Sweden restricts how much Vyvanse you can bring and the paperwork required. Check the limits before you travel.

The rules for Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine)

Sweden requires a prescription or proof of personal use, with the 5, 21 or 90-day supply cap that depends on the Swedish narcotics schedule. For travel from Sweden into other Schengen countries on a Swedish prescription, Läkemedelsverket confirms a Schengen certificate is required for narcotic-classified medicines, including central-stimulant ADHD drugs. That certificate is obtained per medicine from a Swedish pharmacy and is valid for up to 30 days.

What to do

  1. valid prescription
  2. proof of medicinal purpose and personal use (e.g. doctor's certificate, pharmaceutical label with patient and doctor name)
  3. Schengen certificate (for EU/Schengen residents carrying appendix-2 substances). This is issued by your own country of residence and only covers travel between Schengen countries, so if you are flying in from Australia you cannot get one and do not need it.

The check is free. The trip pack that turns it into paperwork is A$19, once. It does not renew.
