The rules for Adderall (mixed amphetamine salts)

Article 10 of the Law on Drugs and Medical Products No. 07/NA lists drugs for individual use when travelling as one of the lawful categories of possession in Laos, and nothing is attached to that category to apply for. What is not published is how it sits with amphetamine specifically. A Ministry of Public Security measure on the government trade portal names amphetamine among drugs not allowed to be imported into Lao PDR, and the criminal law sets a personal possession threshold for amphetamine and methamphetamine of 0.3 to 3 grams carrying one to five years' imprisonment. The Ministry of Health list of psychotropic substances approved for import, sale, production and use, dated 2005, names twelve substances and none of them is an ADHD stimulant. The traveller table Laos filed with the INCB in 2014 asks for a prescription, a doctor's certificate endorsed by the health authority of the traveller's home country, a certificate from Lao health authorities and the original prescription at customs, but it speaks of psychotropic substances as a class and no source confirms it reaches dexamfetamine or mixed amphetamine salts. These sources point in different directions and no Lao source reconciles them, so the position for a traveller is genuinely unresolved.
