The rules for Ritalin (methylphenidate)
The same unresolved conflict applies to methylphenidate (Ritalin, Concerta, Medikinet) as to other stimulants. Maldives Customs' own text conflicts between permitting prescribed personal-use medicines and banning narcotics and psychotropic substances outright, and MFDA's website and its downloadable Laws & Regulations section have no specific traveller guidance on this. Confirm directly with MFDA before travel; the release formulation does not change the underlying legal ambiguity.
